About Christina Ritter

With a background in Spanish Teacher education from NCSU, Christina taught for two years in Wake County, and spent several months abroad in Spain teaching ESL. She later graduated from UNCW with her Master\'s in Higher Education. While there she worked as a Global Liaison for the Office of International Programs to nurture the global initiatives of the university through creating new on-campus partnerships to support international recruitment and inclusion of diverse student groups. After a transition to the software industry, Christina spent several years working as a Customer Success Manager at Citrix and Cisco. She switched business units to pursue her interest in supporting fellow employees and has dedicated the last nearly five years to employee engagement and talent development programs, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, and community engagement. She gravitates towards special projects and is an effective connector who successfully creates new partnerships, promotes internal alignment of teams, and enhances the resources for her team based on feedback. She is a collaborative and globally-minded individual. Christina is passionate about sustainability and serves as the Cisco Global Green Team Lead to help educate Cisco employees on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle. Christina is also passionate about promoting individuals to seek out new and foreign experiences to enrich their lives and challenge themselves to grow. She believes that everything from trying out a yoga class, tasting a new cuisine, or simply wandering the streets of your own city can dramatically enhance your quality of life. Travel is essential for the curious mind and healthy body; whether it be a town thirty minutes down the road or a ten-hour plane ride away.
