About Christina Ritchie
Growing up, I knew what I wanted to be. An actor. An attorney. An investigative journalist. A mom. At no point did my 8-year-old self say “I want to be a sales person”. That is until I sold my first box of Girl Scout cookies and realized just how much I wanted those badges! I went door to door with the speech I rehearsed in front of the mirror (Actor); negotiation skills I practiced with my mom, “You’d like an extra box to keep in the freezer for when you’re craving Scot-Teas* three months from now, right?” (Attorney); and I was curious, asked questions and solved needs because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t need a Thin Mint to go with a glass of milk?(Investigative Journalist);*BTW, Scot-Teas were the best Girl Scout cookies ever and the predecessor to the Trefoil.By the time I graduated from college, my love of sales had taken root and what I learned early in my sales career, is also one of the best parts of sales - you can’t do it alone. Selling is a team sport. I may be the one knocking on doors, but a coach is there to help me get ready, to cheer me on, and to give me the best feedback when I stumble. At a certain point in my career, I knew I wanted to be that coach. I have spent my career in sales helping others be the best they can be, serving with empathy, and believing that sales is the most fulfilling career in the world. In addition to building high performing teams from scratch, smashing revenue growth goals, and working on acquisition integration strategies, my passion is developing people and helping them succeed. As a senior leader, I am proud to lead a team of resilient, passionate sales professionals who:1. Carry an enormous responsibility to our clients in helping them create economic opportunities, great experiences, and personal empowerment for their consumers in the marketplace2. Become industry experts, creating trust with our customers by helping them make sense of the mountains of information out there3. Drive innovation, collaboration across the enterprise, and value that produces consistent winning outcomes through a sense of urgency and our gritty nature 4. Lift up one another, recognizing diversity is the key advantage for our customers, TU, and in our communitiesWhat else can we chat about?• I am thankful to be a founder of TU’s Women of Sales Network. We make positive change happen—and we have so much fun along the way. • I love to travel and will hit all 7 continents someday (ask me which one I have left). • One of my 8-year-old dream professions did come true, the most important one—I am a mom!#hockeymom
