Experience

1. Senior Hazard Mitigation Planner

   As a Hazard Mitigation Planner at Stantec, I contribute to FEMA-approved hazard mitigation plans at the special district, university, local, regional, tribal levels. I also assist communities with HMGP and BRIC grant applications. Further, I work to integrate resiliency and hazard mitigation strategies into planning projects, such as long range transportation plans, comprehensive land use plans, and land use entitlements. I also specialize to developing AWIA-compliant risk and resiliency assessments and emergency response plans for community water systems of all sizes. I support the FEMA Risk MAP program by preparing flood insurance study (FIS) reports, developing and reviewing summary of map amendments (SOMAs), by conducting quality reviews of post-preliminary materials (including serving as a regional lead), and by coordinating with FEMA headquarters to deliver LFD dockets and publish proposed and final flood hazard determinations in the Federal Register.
