As the NEO Regional Healthcare Coordinator my focus is effective delivery of the federal ASPR Health and Human Services Hospital Preparedness Program for Region II. Activities include building relationships with federal, state, local officials through local healthcare coalitions and healthcare representatives (partners and stakeholders) for local, state and federal emergency response to public health and medical emergencies. RHCs bolster regional preparedness and response efforts by enhancing cross discipline integration among public health, medical and emergency management partners; providing situational awareness to headquarters responding to events and providing command and control for deployed HHS resources and assets; and providing exercise support to stakeholders.
