ABOUT CHRISTINA VOLLBRECHT
Christina is Chef Educator on the Culinary Medicine team at the University of Vermont Medical Center where she leads and manages a variety of public, employee, student, and patient facing integrative health programs. She is working on building a sustainable, collaborative team of food is medicine stakeholders within UVMMC and the University of Vermont and is focused on health and food agency, accessibility, sustainability, and behavior change. She also oversees nutrition literacy outreach programs at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (recently merged with Notre Damn University of Maryland) where she is an adjunct faculty member. Christina is co-chair of the Best Practices Committee, on the Advisory Committee, and leads the Sustainability interest group of the Teaching Kitchen Collaborative; she is on the Education Committee at the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont; and is an associate partner of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at UVM. Christina lives in north-central Vermont and helps on a regenerative, organic goat dairy with her neighbors, growing and producing much of her own food and medicine.
