Missionary
May 2019 — Present
On campus missionary serving at Boston University from Fall 2019 until May 2022. Some of my responsibilities included leading multiple bible studies, one-on-one mentoring students, group mentorship using the FOCUS Discipleship resources, and campus outreach inviting students to the Boston University Catholic Center. I work on a team of 4 full-time missionaries who organize ways to engage students & help them grow in their faith. Helped coordinate & plan 2 in-person SEEK events for our campus because the conference needed to go digital due to the pandemic. Managed to follow all local covid-19 protocols and problem solve on the spot. Directed a FOCUS Missions trip to Rome, Italy for Boston University students for Spring Break 2022. Responsible for managing our budget, ensured all 14 students had reached their fundraising goal on time, and led a team of 3 other missionaries to plan this trip. Coordinated the FOCUS 2022 Summer Projects-Sea Island Speaker Series. Summer Projects is a 10-week faith formation program conducted alongside a college student’s summer job. The program aims to launch college students onto a lifelong Catholic mission through intellectual, spiritual, human, and apostolic formation. I was responsible for coordinating speakers, inviting them to our Summer Projects location, arrange travel & accommodations, and negotiating compensation for speakers. Managed to stay within our budget and worked closely with a teammate on this project.From June 2022 to October 2024 I served as an Alumni Relations Missionary with the main priority to support former FOCUS missionaries & students in their faith lives beyond the college campus. October 2024-Current I am an Events Specialist within the Mission Partner Development Team. I coordinate all fundraising trainings for missionaries as well as the mission partner experience at the national SEEK conference.
