WORK HISTORY
Director @Acs Mental Health
Founder & Director | Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Mental Health (ACSMH)2024 – PresentAs the Founder and Director of Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Mental Health (ACSMH), I am dedicated to advancing mental health support and awareness within the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac community. Since launching ACSMH in 2024, I have focused on developing culturally sensitive programs and resources that address the unique challenges faced by our community. My background in nonprofit work, which began in 2017, has been enriched by training in trauma outreach workshops and life coaching certifications from Oakland University. These experiences have equipped me to lead initiatives that offer meaningful support and education. My work has been shaped by firsthand observations of the diaspora, particularly the migration experiences following ISIS in 2017 and my visits to the homeland in 2022 and 2024. A highlight of my recent work includes delivering a mental health conference to the youth of Mar Narsay in Duhok. In addition to my role at ACSMH, I have represented the organization at various Assyrian conferences, discussed resource needs, and contributed to the discourse on Assyrian identity at the Middle Eastern Studies Association Conference. My background in PR, international publishing, and entrepreneurship further informs my approach to leading and advocating for our community.
