About Christina Peralta
I\'m a Computer Science student at Cal State Long Beach, a software engineer, and a dedicated advocate for women in tech. I currently intern as an IT/Cybersecurity & Software Engineer at LA-Tech.org, where I\'ve collaborated on capstone projects, integrated AI into real workflows, and practiced prompt engineering in a hybrid, team-based environment. I completed my Web Development Certification through CodePath in Summer 2025, and I\'ve spent the past two years growing within CSULB\'s Women in Computing as a member, Sponsorship Lead for MarinaHacks, AESB Representative securing funding across 30+ engineering orgs, and now stepping into a VP role. Beyond tech, I\'ve earned a varsity letter in lacrosse, built community through Zeta Tau Alpha and Girl Scouts, and sharpened my people skills through years of customer-facing work, all of which shaped who I am as a collaborator and leader.I\'m currently a fellow in Break Through Tech\'s AI program, working toward a Machine Learning certificate from Cornell University while deepening my foundation in data science and applied AI. My project work spans full-stack web development, from building responsive interactive pages to contributing to team demos presented to real mentors and industry leaders. I\'ve also been expanding my network through Rewriting the Code, attending workshops and building connections with women across the industry. Right now, I\'m most excited about the space where software engineering meets AI, learning how to build smarter and more thoughtful systems while asking the harder questions about who those systems are built for.I\'m actively seeking software engineering and AI internships where I can contribute, grow, and build things that matter. I\'m also looking for mentors and communities that can support me technically, whether that\'s leveling up in machine learning, sharpening my full-stack skills, or diving deeper into UI/UX and product design. Creativity is a big part of how I work, and I\'m drawn to projects where thoughtful design and solid engineering go hand in hand. Alongside the technical side, I care deeply about advocacy for women in tech and am always looking to connect with people and organizations pushing for a more inclusive industry. If you\'re doing work at any of those intersections, I\'d love to hear from you.
