ABOUT CHRISTINA LAHAM PAGANELLI
Christina Laham Paganelli - has two bachelor degrees in Chemistry and Art, and is the founder and innovator behind drinkme. Christina’s personal story is one of overcoming great adversity, when she was diagnosed with both MS and an aggressively progressing cancer. With an emphasis on healing, Christina applied her science background by studying the absorption of plant based diets, enzymes and the advantage of blending vs. juicing. She originally created drinkme for herself. Christina is 20 years free of both diseases, and now gears product innovation towards proactive health and wellness. Christina now has 20 years of business experience, taking drinkme from kitchen to global brand, and breaking barriers in between. Pairing science with passion, she was a pioneer in bringing the HPP technology to beverage applications in Canada. Via commercialization grants and pitch after pitch to angels and government bodies, the 1st HPP machine was brought into Leduc, Alberta, to investigate drinkme’s validation study, toxicology and shelf life study. HPP being considered “a novel food application” to the CFIA, the very first license was eventually awarded to drinkme, and HPP is now a common application in Canada. While this process took many years, Christina saw a market opportunity and picked up everything with family in tow, to move to the USA, and launch drinkme 1st to market. The next few years would prove to be a challenge, and a testament to the drinkme brand, and Christina’s passion and determination to succeed. Stiff competition, never ending need for capital, supply chain bankruptcy, and store and distributor reorganizations have provided Christina with first-hand street knowledge and a wealth of business experience.
