Managing a team of 12 that are developing risk models backed by embeddings based features. Annually we have reduced the bad debt accrued, and therefore increased the GMV by over 3 million euros annually. My team and our products are the main departmental KPIs and we are consistently outperforming our goals. We built a AI platform for better MLOps and reducing time to market for models, as well as a causal inference tool to help our stakeholders make better data driven decisions. This is all in addition to using cutting edge data engineering and AI for generating features in an LSTM model that turns user behavioral data into embeddings that improved our legacy models. I hired, developed, mentored, and coached my teams to achieve our successes.

ABOUT CJ JENKINS
I am a self-driven PhD currently leading cross functional data science teams at Zalando. I have experience across a wide number of data science use cases, but an special interest in risk modeling and integrating data driven decisions into our product to reduce risk and enhance customer experience. With a strong background in statistical analyses, I utilize my expertise across programming languages (SQL, R, and Python). I have excellent communication skills and have been invited to present my research and represent my Universities at senior academic conferences; I have also written a number of well-cited peer-reviewed papers and a text book currently used in academic curriculum. I am enthusiastic and committed to turning questions into answers using innovative solutions with a commercial approach.
