Manage all incoming ocean and air shipments • Correspond with customers and suppliers both domestic and international• Arrange pickup and deliveries• Coordinates aspects of the routing and rating of air/ocean freight to include providing quotes to customers, working with international and/or domestic agents, approving carrier invoices for payment, handling pick-ups and deliveries.• Determines best methods for shipping to ensure customer satisfaction• Prepares documents required for import and / or export clients\' shipments• Traces shipments after normal working hours for re-routing freight accordingly• Prepares important documents for customs (ie. Bonds, bills, classify / release and reports)• Produces relative documentation to secure the release of import consolidations from carriers; handles all turnover documents to other brokers as well as internal and in-bond movements• Completes export arrangements for customers, including bookings, container arrangements, insurance, banking and transportation companies (ocean and trucking)• Builds effective vendor relationships utilizing negotiation and accountability skills• Resolves problems (ie. Billing, tracing shipments) and handles customer concerns• Performs calculations, reconciliations, analyzes reports, researches, tracks and troubleshoots • Interacts with accounting department to complete pertinent accounting functions; provides documentation; and resolves any discrepancies.
