As Executive Director, Christina leads the development, management, and execution of the agency’s long-term strategic plan, oversees the agency’s business development strategy, including the national and international recruitment of blue chip organizations to Downtown Miami, guides the public relations and marketing efforts to promote Downtown Miami worldwide, and oversees the agency’s 30-person staff.With the onset of the pandemic, Christina’s priorities shifted to focus on the economic recovery and sustainability of Downtown Miami. To support the district’s business community, Christina spearheaded various relief programs including the Small Business Microgrant Program and the Hospitality Industry Relief Fund. She also assembled a small business task force to help area businesses navigate the federal, state, and local grants and loans available to them and launched several restaurant-specific initiatives, including the Sidewalk Café Permit ordinance, the “Go Local, Go Direct” program, and the COVID-19 Restaurant Safety and Compliance Course, in partnership with the City of Miami and the FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. To ensure the health and safety of the City’s residents, Christina launched the integrated “Masks On, Miami” campaign to encourage people to wear a mask to stop the spread of COVID-19 and enhanced the district’s daily cleaning procedures. She also focused on raising the spirits of Downtowners during the ‘stay-in-place’ period of the pandemic, by helping orchestrate a livestream performance with international DJ David Guetta – live from Downtown Miami – which raised over for COVID-19 relief. The performance also showcased the beauty of Downtown Miami to 25 million online viewers worldwide.

As the head of one of Florida’s largest Economic Development Agencies,the Miami DDA, Christina works with a 15-member Board of Directors and manages a team of 30 employees to ensure the economic health a vitality of Downtown Miami/Brickell. The agency develops and implements business development strategies to expand current business opportunities and recruit new to market companies looking to move to Downtown Miami/Brickell. The Miami DDA assists stakeholders navigate permitting and quality of life concerns and enhances the urban core thru targeted marketing initiatives that have raised downtown Miami/Brickell as a global business destination or the #WallStreetoftheSouth. The agency provides data and research on the realestate and office market and focuses on urban planning projects to create a pedestrian safe community. The Miami DDA sponsors various events to ensure downtown Miami thrives in an evolving market. With over 19 years of experience, Christina has worked at all levels of local government including the Miami Dade County Mayor’s office, developing policies, strategic direction and financial planning and oversight of multiple operational departments. She is a visionary and collaborator who’s passion for the city has changed and ignited the cultural renaissance and ever-changing sky-line in downtown Miami and Brickell. Throughout her career, Christina has helped coordinate various special events including Alt-B during the pandemic showcasing local artists and fashion in a safe way which ignited the local art and fashion community in downtown, the United At Home concert with David Guetta raising $1.2 million for Feeding South Florida, The Urban Divas Neutrogena online concert elevating the brand across social and digital media, and numerous Super Bowls, conferences and networkers. She also served as the Chair for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign, raising over for breast cancer research.Christina holds a bachelor\'s and master’s degrees in Social Policy and Administration from Florida State University.
