ABOUT CHRISTIEN LOMAS

Since day one, I’ve always been enthusiastic about helping others. The feeling of self-accomplishment and overcoming a challenge creates joy in most of us. Personally, if I can use my skillset, expertise and influence to support others in reaching their goals, it’s gives me a great sense of achievement. Picture the world we live in today, I think most of us can agree that it’s complicated, challenging and sometimes will breaking. My role as a security specialist is simple, to take away some of that headache for my clients. No two clients are the same and every business is unique in their own special way. Through understanding a client’s business, customers and strategic objectives I can act as a trusted advisor to offer recommendations, considerations or better solutions with the business’s best interests at heart. Having worked in a dynamic Information Technology environment for 6+ years, I’ve worked with clients ranging from SMB to Enterprise. This exposure has taught me key skills and provided me with real world experience about what it takes to deliver success.Getting involved in client projects and learning about what they would like to achieve is always fascinating, as it teaches you a lot about a business. Top project highlights I’ve worked on would consist of; Cloud transformation strategies and the security implications when operating in new environments, secure access for users anywhere and the components required to make this happen, AI and Automation to increase service delivery by automating low to medium level tasks.Outside of work, I’m a member at my local tennis club, where as a member I participate in team matches, running open days and encouraging new starters; I’m also passionate about the great outdoors and find pleasure in cycling, golf, skiing and most sports. I also consider myself a “cocktail connoisseur” and can often be found sipping mojitos when the sun is shining.
