About Christie Hays

My passion and joy in life is helping women overcome their anxieties, fears, worries, and whatever else is creating unneeded stress in their lives. My entire professional career has been driven by this passion. Fresh out of college I focused my career on the corporate world and found success as a trainer, content writer, and instructional designer. Despite being successful on paper, I was still missing something. I yearned for more. To help more, and to have a deeper more meaningful impact on the people I worked with each day. That’s when I found counseling, and my passion in life began to grow. I am honored to work so closely with my clients, and to be able to provide a safe space for my clients to be vulnerable and grow. As a fellow “worry-wart in recovery”, I understand first-hand how exhausting negative thoughts, behaviors, and patterns can be. I also know that working one on one with a counselor was the best decision I ever made. I learned how my negativity and worry had become automatic, and ways to break that automatic negative cycle. I also found out that I can choose how I want to think and feel. Does any of this feel true for you: • Can’t sleep at night because your brain won’t turn off • You spend hours playing the “what if” game, always looking for the worst case scenario • Always stressed, and focused about how much “energy” each task takes (and there’s never enough energy to go around) • Your to-do list is long, and you never seem to make much progress on the list • If you can’t do it perfectly, you would prefer to not do it at all • You feel fake or unauthentic in your interactions with other people, like you are putting on a show, and fear that someday others will discover you are a fraud. • You don’t know who you truly are, or who you want to be.
