About Christie Versagli
Founder and CEO of THRIVE Institute, a company dedicated to disseminating the educational program “THRIVE: A Guide to Individual and Collective Well-Being” (Versagli, 2018) recognized by the U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best Colleges Guidebooks as a program praised by students and administrators at a number of American colleges and universities for equipping them with practical, evidence-based skills to prevent distress and increase fulfillment. Christie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist (CYMHS) with nearly ten years of counseling and teaching experience. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a master\'s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She was selected to be a TA for former American Counseling Association (ACA) President Dr. David Capuzzi. She also served as the Director of Web Development for the World Well-Being Project at the University of Pennsylvania\'s Positive Psychology Center directed by former American Psychological Association (APA) President Dr. Martin Seligman. She was equipped by her background as an Account Manager at Arnold Worldwide where she coordinated the production of large-scale, global corporate health and wellness advertising campaigns for brands like New Balance. Arnold executives awarded Christie one of two spots given to each agency to join the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies (IAAS) training program for advertising \"rising stars\" and \"the best and brightest in the business\". Author and promoter of educational program “THRIVE: A Guide to Individual and Collective Well-Being” (2018) recognized by U.S. News & World Report in their 2019 Best Colleges Guidebook as an engaging program praised by students which a number of American colleges and universities have offered to expand their mental health services and help students avoid distress. THRIVE teaches practical, evidence-based strategies to build life satisfaction and prevent health crises. The curriculum was offered to Hopkins students as a formal course for academic credit in January 2020 and presented by invitation at the 100th national Annual NASPA Conference in 2018, the global professional association for student affairs in higher education. An online platform to disseminate the program more broadly and with greater ease, engagement, and licensing subscriptions is currently in development.
