ABOUT CHRISTIE CHENETTE

I am a San Francisco native and doctorally prepared board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with experience providing trauma-informed care in FQHC and community mental health settings. My work with underserved and stigmatized populations has shaped my commitment to accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care.As a Doctor of Nursing Practice PMHNP graduate from the University of Arizona, I bring empathy, insight, and a deep dedication to helping patients achieve meaningful growth and healing. I have a special interest in supporting the LGBT community and individuals exploring self-actualization through emerging and integrative treatments.For my doctoral thesis, I designed and implemented a quality improvement project to optimize evidence-based music selections during ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).In June 2025, I completed post-doctoral training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research through CIIS. My capstone project focused on bridging the knowledge gap around harm-reduction screening and client readiness for psychedelic-assisted therapy.I’m currently transitioning to a new clinical setting where I’ll continue providing innovative, evidence-based care, drawing upon my FQHC experience and commitment to trauma-informed practice.
