ABOUT CHRISTIAN HUDSON

I convene policy makers and society to nurture a global transition to a sustainable economy, supporting the EU\'s ambitions for a prosperous, low-carbon future. It is time to create an economic system that rewards sustainability, that drives growth in the activities and invesments which add to planetary wealth, rather than degrade it, and endanger it in the years to come. The routes to do that are known, the economics can work, the transition is where the hurdles sit. One foundational step is rewarding the generation and access of data along value-chains, that can inform investment, corporate, consumer and policy maker use. I work on sustainable finance, circular economy transition and have somehow gone deep into sustainable textile value chains. I\'m linked to GIZ\'s network of projects in developing countries around the world, understanding some of the realities and needs for global transition. I have a MA in law from Cambridge University and an economics MSc from University College London. A background in law, policy, science-policy communication, systems transition and, recently, chairing and convening.
