ABOUT CHRISTIANSON JOHN
I’m a Quality Expert and Chartered Engineer (CEng) with 15+ years’ experience leading, implementing and maintaining quality management systems, supplier quality and continuous improvement across life-science automation, cryogenic storage, instruments and sample-management solutions used in GxP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing.I began in electrical engineering and design, then moved into leadership as my scope grew from technical delivery to building systems, teams, and strategy. An MBA broadened my capability into commercial and enterprise thinking, strengthening my skills in strategy, operations, financial analysis, resource planning, and leadership. I apply this through P&L awareness, risk-based prioritisation, and practical capacity, budget, and operating-model planning that scales across sites.Today I set and deploy global quality strategy across North America, Europe and the UK. I lead multi-site QA teams and partner with senior stakeholders to embed quality into product, supplier and customer processes. I run a KPI-driven quality operating rhythm and regularly report into the C-suite through Monthly Business Reviews, translating customer signals, compliance risk and performance into clear decisions and funded action. My core focus is ensuring products and services consistently meet customer expectations while maintaining strong regulatory compliance. That means translating customer and regulatory requirements into clear standards, making sure teams follow the right processes, and maintaining audit and inspection readiness as a normal way of working. I strengthen process adherence through practical training and I use internal and supplier audits to verify the system works, close gaps quickly and prevent repeat findings. When issues occur, I drive rapid containment and structured root cause through RCA and 8D, then verify CAPA effectiveness so fixes hold and performance improves.Continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma to remove waste, reduce complaints and deviations, and lower COPQ and warranty exposure. Structured problem solving, then sustain gains through standard work, visual management, capability building, and KPI reviews. My specialties include QMS (ISO 13485/9001), strategic planning, quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA), cost reduction, Lean problem solving, workforce relations and customer satisfaction, and internal/external audits (IRCA Lead Auditor).
