About Christianne Eason
I serve as President of Sport Safety & Education at the Korey Stringer Institute (KSI), where I direct the innovATe project and oversee the High School Sports Safety Project. My work centers on expanding access to athletic training services, advancing evidence-based safety policies, and reducing preventable injury and illness in sport, warfighters, and laborers. A certified athletic trainer, I’ve practiced in NCAA Division I, Division and secondary school settings, and I continue to volunteer in mass medical events such as the Boston Marathon and Falmouth Road Race. Nationally, I contribute to policy and advocacy efforts, currently serving as Chair of the NATA Foundation Pronouncements Committee.My research examines the intersection of clinician well-being, patient safety, and professional sustainability in athletic training. I have authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications exploring the work–life interface (including work–life balance, work addiction, organizational culture, retention, and career intentions), while also addressing issues of patient safety and access, such as athletic training services in under-resourced schools, sports safety policies, CPR/AED education, and emergency action planning. Across this body of work, I aim to generate evidence that strengthens systems, supports clinicians, and protects athletes.
