ABOUT CHRISTIAN MÜLLER

The automotive industry is undergoing arguably the most significant transformation in its history. To meet the demands of customers, investors, and governments, today’s vehicles must be increasingly autonomous, connected, electric, and more flexible in their availability. Navigating these changes requires both a precise alignment of offerings to customer needs and substantial financial investments from automobile manufacturers. In this dynamic environment, I am responsible for the overarching business management of consumer protection in vehicle safety across multiple brands, including BMW, BMW M, MINI, and Rolls-Royce. My role involves driving the business planning, target setting, and prioritization processes in close collaboration with product lines and technical departments. Additionally, as a process and methods developer, I implement targeted optimizations through the development and execution of more efficient processes and tools within the areas of development, procurement, and corporate controlling. These responsibilities have enhanced my ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. My openness and positive mindset continuously support my personal growth and help me adapt to the evolving challenges in the automotive industry. For me, collaborative teamwork, trust, and mutual support are key factors in driving sustainable change. I actively embody these values as part of the TUM Mentoring Program, where I share knowledge and experience to foster the development of my mentees while also growing personally.
