ABOUT CHRISTIAN JACKSON
I am a casualty underwriter providing national sized companies with creative risk management solutions that fit their operational and financial needs. I am responsible for protecting my company’s bottom line by making strategic decisions, balancing risk and sustaining profitability. The companies I’ve worked with range in size from $500MM in sales up to $2.9 B in industries ranging from manufacturing to grocery store chains. Each customer faces unique challenges and has specific needs. I tailor insurance programs to meet those needs while cross-functionally coordinating and collaborating internal resources for smooth implementation of customer specific solutions. Underwriters are at the center of this effort as we recognize, analyze and price programs based off of a clients needs, and also develop strong professional relationships. My specific areas of expertise include risk assessment, recognizing trends, using actuarial modeling, contractual relationship evaluation, professional relationship development and Sales.I have contributed significantly to organizations as a result of the skills developed and the experiences gained from six years of military service under the most intense conditions. This encompassed 24 months of combat experience that tested and honed leadership ability, planning skills, operations know-how, and the ability to adapt and succeed in an ever-changing, hostile environment. They required consideration of international partners, organizational differences, cultural peculiarities – and the absolute need to lead people to bring their best to a very tough job every day.The challenges faced during deployments required that I analyze quickly, formulate plans based on information available, and make decisions that proved successful. To be effective, I had to work well with peers, superiors, and subordinates, which sometimes meant compromise, sometimes meant being firm in defense of a decision – and always meant being a good team-player.
