ABOUT CHRISTIANEEID

Christiane Eid is a Partner in BDO’s U.S. Corporate Tax Practice with nearly 20 years of experience in U.S. tax planning, compliance, and cross-border structuring. Christiane has notable expertise in the taxation of private equity funds and infrastructure investments along with a deep knowledge of institutional investor onboarding, U.S. reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks including FATCA and CRS. Before joining BDO, Christiane developed and led key tax functions at two of Canada’s largest institutional investors. She developed and implemented tax strategies and structures for large-scale investments, supporting institutional and private equity clients through the full investment lifecycle. Christiane is a strategic thinker with a creative mindset, bringing fresh perspectives to operational efficiency and long-term planning. She is passionate about simplifying the complex and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. A former volunteer board member of the Tax Executives Institute and a former lecturer in accountancy at Concordia University, Christiane is also deeply committed to mentorship and professional development. She currently serves on the board of Danish Canadian Society, Montreal Inc. Fluent in English, French, Danish, and Portuguese, Christiane is known for building authentic relationships across cultural, political, and societal boundaries and is committed to inclusive and empathetic engagement. Christiane holds a Master of Science in Accountancy (Cum Laude), University of Notre Dame (2005) and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business (Distinction), Concordia University (2004)
