ABOUT CHRISTIANA TASTO

I have had a rich and dedicated career focused on advancing organizational development and fostering inclusive and effective organizational cultures. With over 20 years of experience, my expertise spans a wide range of topics, including financial oversight, governance, compliance, strategic planning, team engagement, communication skills, coaching, and emotional intelligence. I have devoted more than two decades to Inclusion and Equity work, ensuring that DEI principles are integral to HR policies, employee relations, client care, and leadership strategies.Throughout my extensive career in the nonprofit sector, I have held pivotal roles, including directing programs, stepping into interim executive directorships, and managing key projects. My impact was recognized when I was promoted to Executive Director of Nonprofit Solutions in February 2021, following five years of successful leadership as the Director of Learning. In this executive role, I cultivated a supportive and inclusive organizational culture and led numerous professional development initiatives, both internally and for a diverse range of clients.I have facilitated strategic planning for the Leon L. Williams Human Relations Commission, integrated DEIB policies for The Fleet Museum, and led complex dialogues for various nonprofit organizations. My proficiency in Group Facilitation Methods, gained through training at the Institute of Cultural Affairs, and my completion of Micro-aggression training with the Valued Voices program at Hosteling International, further demonstrate my commitment to fostering inclusive environments.I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology, which has equipped me with deep insights into human behavior and organizational dynamics. My multifaceted skill set and wealth of experience make me a highly effective leader in driving organizational development, and championing equity and inclusion in the workplace.In addition I am an executive coach, mom of a hockey player, and a dog-mom. I am open to consulting, speaking engagements, and board service.
