ABOUT CHRISTIANA LAFFERTY

I am a dedicated law school student pursuing a career in global disputes. My passion for history provides an informed perspective on international relations and foreign policy. Collaboration, problem-solving, reasoning, and research are just a few of the skills I bring to every project. I have abundant leadership, public speaking, and legal research and writing experience. During my time at Southeastern University (SEU), I authored an Undergraduate Thesis titled \"Generational Abuse in Florida: A Comparative Analysis of Proactive Versus Reactive Measures\" which combined both my Legal Studies and Criminal Justice degrees, as well as my passion for child advocacy. I founded, coached, and served as president of SEU\'s Mock Trial Team. As an award-winning debater, I am a fervent advocate. At OSU, I authored a journal note titled “Against the Referendum: Negotiation to Amend the Scotland Act as an Alternative to Scottish Independence” which was selected for publication in OSU\'s Journal on Dispute Resolution. I am also a member of OSU\'s moot court team for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. In this role, I co-wrote a Memorial and argued for two fictional states in the scenario, presenting both sides. We advanced to the International Rounds after placing as Quarterfinalists in the West Regional. I look forward to further experience in my pursuit of a career in global disputes.
