About Christian Wohlwend
I am a research and development engineer for Northrop Grumman supporting the Air Force weather mission. I am retired US Air Force veteran with more than 21 years as a weather officer. I was fortunate to be selected by the US Air Force Academy to complete my Doctorate in Physics and then teach for five years as an Assistant Professor, Director of Meteorology, and Deputy Department Head for Physics. I am a proven leader through change as the former commander (CEO) of the 16th Weather Squadron, directing science and technology exploitation. I am looking forward to continuing to serve our nation in my next career.

Technical Fellow focused on research and development in weather; space environment; nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3); and applications of artificial intelligence. Current principle investigator on the NC3 Access - Any Time / Any Place internal research and development project under Northrop Grumman’s NC3 Campaign. Working with novel technologies like augmented reality and containerized microservices on a multi-cluster mesh.
