About Christian Sunderland
Studied at the University of California, Berkeley from 20••••20. While at Berkeley I had the privilege of interning at the Hebrok lab at UCSF working under Dr. Eleonora de Klerk. Working with Dr. de Klerk provided an opportunity to gain lots of skills in the biosciences and an amazing experience with deep research. I have twice volunteered for medical missions in Guatemala, as well as partnering with middle schools to provide after-school mentoring programs for students. After graduation I worked closely with stem cells (hESCs and iPSCs) and their differentiation process at Minutia Therapeutics which is a startup focused on developing a cell therapy for Type 1 Diabetes. Since then I have taken a position at Caribou Biosciences working on NK cell differentiation from iPSCs to provide an allogeneic therapy for solid tumors. While part of the “Herd” at Caribou, I\'ve gained a wealth of experience in the immunology space as well as insight towards therapeutic development.
