ABOUT CHRISTIAN SMITH

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, I’m a current senior attending college at Millikin University studying Sports and Recreation Management with a Business Administration minor. I’ve always had a passion for sports and how it operates internally such as the management of teams, operations, or coordinating events within venues. As I learned more about the business side of sports, I decided to get a minor in Business Administration to gain better understanding and to connect the two together. Within courses I’ve taken, I’ve learned how to coordinate events, learn to market, run businesses, and how to run facilities and venues. Along with that I was a goalkeeper on the men’s soccer team for four years.Also a part of the Beta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon where I served for a year as the chapter secretary on the executive board along with being a part of the recruitment team helping bring new members in. In my experience with Tau Kappa Epsilon, I’ve been to multiple leadership events and conferences, including the Regional Leadership Conference twice, along with hosting events raising money for St. Jude.
