ABOUT CHRISTIAN ROSARIO
I am a Registered Nurse in the Burn ICU at UF Health Shands, providing complex, high-acuity care for patients facing some of the most challenging medical conditions. As part of our specialized team, I also care for patients in ENT and plastics critical care, including reconstructive and plastic surgery recovery, advanced airway management, and complex burn treatment. This role pushes me daily to integrate advanced clinical skills with compassion, rapid decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration.Before this role, I gained nearly a year of hands-on experience as a Nurse Extern in a busy Emergency Department, where I strengthened my skills in triage assessment, IV and EKG placement, patient monitoring, responding to codes, and delivering patient-centered care in high-pressure environments.During nursing school, I also served as a Resident Assistant, supporting over 200 students through crisis response, wellness initiatives, and community-building. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA, earned consistent Dean’s List recognition, and was honored to be inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as well as named an HCA Healthcare Scholar.My professional passion lies in critical care nursing, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous growth, and empowering patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. I look forward to advancing my expertise and contributing to meaningful improvements in patient outcomes.
