Engage other members of project teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Navy Air Warfare Center Weapon Division (NAWCWD) Ridgecrest, CALead Test Engineer (LTE), Sidewinder AIM-9X May 2020 – October 2022Leads a team of seven people all of varying ages and experience to execute AIM-9X system upgrades test.Testing consists of obtaining new AIM-9X upgrade requirements from the Navy Air to Air Program Office (PMA-259), writing a test plan (roughly 100 page document) to be approved by the chief engineer and pilot, logistics on obtaining weapons and weapon software from Raytheon, obtaining hardware and software flight clearances, scheduling use of fighter jets ($44k an hour per jet), scheduling time on the test range($70-$200K), briefing pilots on testing objectives, administering the test event with communications with the pilots while they are airborne, ensuring required data is collected, analysis of data, and writing reports to PMA-259.Team successfully executed thirteen flight test events ($100K each), & nine live fire events ($1.2M each).Successfully manage a budget between four and eight million dollars annually (foreign and domestic funds).Oversight on aerial target launch pad upgrades ($280K), F/A-18 flare dispensing upgrades ($646K), and data transfer systems that cross over state lines ($470K).Flight Test Engineer (FTE), Sidewinder AIM-9X (Infrared Air to Air Missile) November 2015 – May 2020Successfully executed/supported 20+ labs, 7 ground test, 30+ captive carry events, and 18 live fires.Executed six consecutive captive carry events in a two-week period (one a week is considered over tasked).Coordinated the execution of a USN live fire event while on a month-long foreign detachment.Coordinated, planned, and executed six live fires on a detachment to Eglin Air Force Base in 7 working days.Authored nine test plans/amendments (roughly 100-page document) and published two test reports.Led on-site FTE at Woomera test range in Australia for data collection equipment setup, coordination, and execution of the first three AIM-9X-2 live fires taken by the FMS customers.
