ABOUT CHRISTIAN GOMEZ
I am Christian Gomez, a biomedical engineering student at the University of Florida with a minor in materials science and engineering. I’m especially interested in medical devices, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials that support tissue repair and therapeutic delivery. Currently, I work in a biomedical research lab where I focus on pancreatic islet health. My experience includes mouse islet isolation, microfluidic droplet generation, immunohistochemistry, and image analysis of tissue slices. Outside of the lab, I serve as Vice President of UF’s EMBS chapter and work part-time at the UF Health Science Center Library. I enjoy learning through hands-on work, collaborating with others, and taking on leadership roles that help me grow both personally and professionally. I’m looking forward to joining a team where I can apply my skills, continue building my expertise, and contribute to the development of technologies that improve lives.
