Over the past 15 years in IT I was able to discover the world of my customers and system integrators from a multitude of different angles. From IT application management over software project implementation through project and program management into presales and sales roles. However one common theme has always energized me through all these years: Understanding the underlying drivers and motivations of my customers, be it at a macro level from strategy or within the domain of one individual business process or application. Nowadays I apply this when helping my customers in utilities, telco, media and high tech address their digital transformation challenges, particularly around mastering process optimization challenges be it internally be it customer facing leveraging process automation in combination with AI.
