Big goal accomplished was to reduce DSO from 55 to 33, and past due percentage from 73% to upper 90s current- Credit due diligence and evaluation of new and existing customers to approve credit limits up-to the assigned authority; recommendation of large limits to management for amounts greater than $2MM; month and quarter-end reporting; releasing of orders; liaison among customers, sales teams, and the logistics & customer service groups- Daily collections; weekly and monthly metrics to track the reduction of DSO; increasing the current A/R percentage and putting together reports to measure the collections effectiveness rate. Collections were prioritized according to the size of the business volume and scope of the markets- In charge of two credit insurance policies – from overseeing the technicalities of the same to ensure terms & conditions were met as well as the complying with the fulfillment of monthly reports to the carrier. Link between insurance and sales teams to ensure all sales all were covered and all stakeholders were informed about the progress of the DSO initiatives.
