ABOUT CHRISTIAN EDELMANN

As Managing Partner for Europe, I strive to create positive impact for our clients, our people and society. Over more than two decades, I have enjoyed working with major financial institutions in Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East covering a broad range of sell and buy side institutions as well as market infrastructure players.Driving gender balance in the workplace deeply matters to me both personally and professionally not simply because it is long overdue or the right thing to do but because it also has a huge impact on the careers of so many talented colleagues and ultimately delivers better results for our clients and industries. I’m one of the Executive Sponsors of Oliver Wyman\'s Women’s Network, WOW, which focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining talented women within the business. I’m proud to have been named as one of the HERoes Advocate Role Models for three consecutive years as well as receiving the We Are The City Men for Gender Balance award in 2020.I’ve authored multiple Oliver Wyman publications, including the annual report for wholesale banks and as well for wealth and asset managers – produced jointly with Morgan Stanley. I’m a speaker at leading industry events, regularly featured in the media and a recurrent commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg TV.I hold a Master degree in Law (summa cum laude) and a Master degree in Business and Economics (insigni cum laude) from the University of Basel (Switzerland). I have also earned the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation.As a proud father and husband, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and outside of work you’ll find me enjoying great food, staying healthy or exploring a new travel destination with the family.
