ABOUT CHRISTIAN DE SMET

I am an experienced IT manager with extensive expertise gained mainly throughout the European region but also Wordlwide of a large US and European multi-national companies. I have worked on the development, implementation and associated organisational change of Information Systems solutions at a country and Worldwide level. This exposure has enabled me to develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of business processes. In addition my increasingly responsible positions have given me opportunities to develop excellent skills in managing resources and business change. As well as operational responsibilities in these management roles, I have also had program and project responsibilities in ERP implementations. I also established the entire IS and IT needs for a new company start-up operation in Moscow. Prior to my IT management experience, I was employed as an IT consultant for multinational companies who were implementing ERP systems in their sales, logistics and finance functions.My IT and management experience in transformational situations has also enabled me to engage in business process development and the management of change in organisations. My professional expertise is underpinned by my goal focused approach, with a strong drive for results.
