About Christian Dallavis

With nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, leadership, and education, I am passionate about providing a Catholic education of the highest quality to as many children as possible, especially in marginalized communities. As the Superintendent of the Partnership Schools, I oversee the performance of our schools in Ohio, serving approximately students from low-income and diverse backgrounds, and I provide support to the school leaders of the network. I work with a team of talented and committed professionals to provide high-quality instruction, rigorous curriculum, and Catholic school culture. I collaborate with the diocese, donors, and community organizations to ensure the sustainability and growth of our network, and I lead potential network expansion to new communities. Previously, I was the Senior Director of Leadership Programs at the University of Notre Dame, where I directed the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program, founded and directed the Notre Dame ACE Academies, and taught as an Associate Professor of the Practice of Educational Leadership. I have a Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Teaching from the University of Portland, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in English & Japanese. I have published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented to a wide range of audiences on Catholic education, teacher education, educational leadership, culturally responsive pedagogy, and school culture, conducting workshops for dioceses and at national conferences, as well as to teachers and leaders in Ireland, the UK, India, and the Vatican.
