About Christian Croxton

I graduated from the Georgia Tech with high honors, but more importantly, having learned the skills needed to engineer a healthier future. My fascination with biology and my desire to make a difference have guided me along my journey. I started researching foot and ankle injuries during my first semester of college. I soon discovered an intense interest in materials science and its applications to the human body. Before long, I started working with teams to engineer injury-preventing solutions, ranging from composite ankle braces and powered exoskeletons to genetic medicine. I made it a goal to use a new tool or to learn a new technique with every new project. Whether it was a 3D printer, a CNC machine, or a microscope, I slowly became acquainted with all of the tools available to me. Then, I became a shop hand to share my passion for making things with others. These days, I find myself reading journal articles about how advancements in computing and gene sequencing techniques have enabled research that was never possible before. I see how these technologies can be applied to biomaterials development, and the future looks bright. I\'ve contributed to the implantable medical device industry for several years since graduating. Now, I\'m looking to make an impact in a role that relies on knowledge of how tissues react to advanced biomaterials, including the interconnected cellular, molecular, and physiological responses.
