I held various positions with large companies such as Hilton Hotels Corporation and Club Med in various countries including France, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, Indonesia, Mexico, Dominican Republic and the United States. In 1996, after spending two years in Moscow, Russia, as Chief Financial Officer for a joint venture between Aeroflot and IMP, a Canadian concern, I decided to return to the United States and enter the field of hotel brokerage and consulting.In 1996, I joined Hotel Source, Inc. in Chicago as Vice President of Investment Sales, where my responsibilities included sourcing new business, analyzing and determining value of existing hotels and vacant land for hotels and selling hotel assets for owners.In the spring of I was recruited by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels to open their offices in Miami. My experience and language skills (English, French and Spanish), were ideally suited to the task in providing assistance to owners with assets in the Southeast United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. Services provided to our clients include investment sales, asset management, appraisal, operator selection, debt and equity raise, workouts and advisory. In May of 2009 I started The Charre Group, a real estate advisory firm providing: Equity Investments, Debt Financing, Acquisitions and Restructuring, Investments Sales, Advisory, and Strategic Planning.In December 2012, The Charre Group joined CBRE as part of their Hotel Capital Market focusing on hotel asset dispositions and acquisitions, sourcing of equity and debt financing for existing and new hotels, and advisory services in Southeast United States, The Caribbean and Latin America.In August 2023, my team and I decided to join Berkadia to grow their institutional hotel platform and service our clients and friends nationally and internationally.Specialties: Financial underwriting for the hospitality industry, hotel management contract negotiation, hotel brand/management selection, hotel asset management, hotel asset disposition and acquisition, Florida, Caribbean and Latin America expertise, multilingual and multicultural business experience.
