Economist specialising in research and analysis for public policy. I lead and develop teams of analysts in policy-oriented research projects for national and local governments, international organisations and NGOs. These projects typically involve some combination of data or econometric/statistical analysis and computer modelling, increasingly allied to qualitative methods.Currently responsible for Cambridge Econometrics’ portfolio of work on social policy and place. This includes strategy, management and development of a team of consultant economists spread across the world.Expertise across a wide range of policy areas including social policy; macroeconomics; equality and human rights; and energy, environment and climate change. My broader policy interests include robust/resilient approaches to decisionmaking and expanding policymakers’ toolboxes to tackle policy research problems.
