As Director of Brewery OT Security, I lead the global strategy to protect Carlsberg’s brewery operations and brands from evolving cybersecurity threats across operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS). My role aligns technical capability, governance, and business priorities to deliver resilience, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.Focus areas- Defining and executing the global OT/ICS cybersecurity strategy and roadmap- Establishing robust governance frameworks, security standards, and architectures across global brewery operations- Driving alignment with NIS2, CSL, and broader EU cybersecurity legislation- Strengthening risk management, incident response, and business continuity capabilities- Building organizational maturity through cybersecurity training, awareness, and leadership engagement- Supporting digital transformation and operational excellence through secure system designKey achievements- Secured board approval and funding for Carlsberg’s first multi-year OT Security Programme, embedding cybersecurity in strategic planning- Delivered the company’s first deployment of cybersecurity control technologies within the OT infrastructure layer- Launched a global OT cybersecurity training platform, elevating security culture and technical competence across brewery operations- Extended endpoint protection to legacy assets, significantly reducing operational risk and improving overall security postureThese initiatives have advanced Carlsberg’s industrial cybersecurity maturity, ensured compliance readiness, and positioned security as a strategic enabler of operational resilience and business continuity.
