After I tell people that I design and develop all kinds of trainings from instructor-led to eLearning and everything in between, I often get a response connecting Instructional Design (ID) with a recollection of a boring training they\'ve had to do for work. People often expect eLearning in particular to be boring, and my job is to show them it doesn\'t have to be that way. My goal is always to help people and organizations reach their goals without wasting their time. I am an instructional designer with expertise in designing and developing training courses that meet the needs of a varied set of learners and learning objectives. I am adept at conducting needs analysis and recommending learning solutions that are practical, actionable, and within the desired timeline. In addition, I can effectively collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and ensure content accuracy, as well as update and maintain content at frequent intervals, in order to meet the needs of all learners. When I design learning experiences, I always consider the end goal first and then work backwards. I first conduct a gap analysis in order to identify the business problem. I am then able to establish appropriate objectives and design a learning plan to promote behavior change and fill the gaps. I strive to ensure the learning experiences I create are both meaningful and engaging, and that they will ultimately create \"lightbulb moments\" in learners that lead to positive change for the organizations they work for.
