About Chris Tegley
Why facilities and sustainability? I love the variety of experiences and challenges I face every day in both. In the last five years, I learned how sustainability and facilities could be integrated by achieving an SFP from IFMA. I take pride in the spaces I work in, and customers use. I’m that person, even when on vacation, that takes pictures of things done well so that I can use or learn from them. I can’t help it, but I am an innate problem solver that enjoys a fast paced, new-challenge-everyday environment. Some of the things I’m proud of in my career are-> Reduced utility expenses up to 30% after consolidating facilities services for multi-state dental offices -> Reduced the annual cost by ~25% by replacing an emission inventory platform that added colleague engagement features and simplified the user experience -> Delivered $1.8M conference /meeting center and lounge on time and under budget I’ve managed construction, renovation, restoration, and move projects around the country. I want to understand a problem from different points of view and then define what success looks like. I present options or recommendations that meet those expectations within a given budget. It’s not more complicated than that, except for injecting some humor when needed.
