About Christa Short-Atchley

With nearly 17 years of experience in healthcare, I am currently serving as the Chief Fund Development Officer for Community Health System. Prior to my current role, I served as Director of Operations overseeing Environmental Services, Palliative Care, Spiritual Support Services and Terry’s House for our System, where I oversaw the daily operations and clinical care of 10 departments and nearly 500 care givers across our health system here in the Central Valley. I have a BA in Business Management from Fresno Pacific University and an MBA from Louisiana Tech. I have been recognized as a Top Ten Professional Woman of the Year and am a 40 Under 40 award recipient. My core competencies include fundraising, operational improvement, patient experience, service line and program development, team building, speaking, communications. I am passionate about providing compassionate and quality care to the patients and families we serve, and I am committed to supporting the mission and vision of Community Health System. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and I enjoy collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders to achieve our goals.
