ABOUT CHRISTOPHER PRIEBE
Chris Priebe has over 25 years experience with fostering positive online communities. A father of four, he is deeply passionate about making the internet a safer place. In he founded Authentic Walk to build online communities and resources in the early Internet days and continues today to create new ways for users to interact safely and meaningfully online. The rise of early social networks led him to Trinity Western University where he wrote the online community space to complement the online learning system. Unlike Myspace this gave users a social stream of all their friends, school groups, and alumni\'s posts and pictures. This was a year before Facebook (of which Chris concedes Mark executed better). Chris was the lead developer on the safety and security elements for Club Penguin, which was acquired by Disney and grew to over 300 million users. Later, Chris would go on to apply his safety expertise to the wider Disney Interactive portfolio of games. In 2012, Chris started Community Sift, driven by a desire to tackle the major issues of cyberbullying, harassment, and abuse across the entire internet. Community Sift grew to processes over 100 billion human interactions (chat/images/video) a month and then in 2021 Two Hat joined Microsoft to expand that mission by combining resources.
