ABOUT CHRIS POLLACH

Mr. Pollach is a Technical Solutions Architect and DEVOPS specialist with over 30 years experience in Systems Software Analysis, Development, Maintenance and Technical Support IT areas. Mainly in the areas of GUI Design, MS-Windows Programming, Wireless, Application / Web Server Design, Object Oriented Development Tools, Methodologies, Database and Network application development. He has participated in numerous technical, planning and management roles, as well as consulted and educated in these fields for a diverse clientele. Chris has written numerous articles in various popular personal computer magazines, newsletters and is the author of PowerGuide & PowerExpert products. Currently, Mr. Pollach has developed software frameworks for the PowerBuilder, PowerServer Web and PowerServer Mobile products - including web services. As an educator, Mr. Pollach is a Certified SilverStream developer (CSSD), Certified PowerBuilder Developer – Associate / Professional (CPD-P) and Certified Sybase Tools Instructor (CSI). Mr Pollach was awarded the Sybase “Innovation and Achievement” award in 2005. This award was presented for innovations to the mobile development product, contributions to the PowerBuilder News groups and support of the Ottawa Sybase User Group. In 2008, he was also awarded the Best Technical Writer for the ISUG magazine. To date, Mr Pollach has also received three Top Leader awards by SAP! Specialties: Mr. Pollach currently holds a 2nd Degree Black in the TaeKwonDo martial art and has developed a Martial Art multimedia study guide. He teaches TKD regularly for the City of Ottawa.
