About Chris Naumann

In 2021 I began a new career as a Senior Planner with Sanderson Stewart, an interdisciplinary consulting services firm that plans and designs enduring communities across the intermountain west. I was promoted to Associate Principal in 2023 and continue to serve as the Bozeman Branch Manager. After a series of mergers in 2023 and 2024, Sanderson Stewart became Sanbell with over 220 employees located in Montana, Colorado, Nevada, California, and beyond.From 2007 to 2020, I served as the Executive Director of the Downtown Bozeman Partnership, which is the management agency for three organizations working on behalf of Bozeman\'s downtown district. The Partnership includes the Downtown Bozeman Association (DBA), the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and the Downtown Urban Renewal District (URD).In 2018, I was awarded the International Downtown Association\'s Emerging Leaders Fellowship and spent a week in New York City with 30 cohorts immersed in professional development training and urban placemaking field work.Previously, I co-founded and operated Barrel Mountaineering, a specialty outdoor retail store, from 1995 to 2009 on Bozeman Montana\'s historic Main Street.
