Chris Van Dusen is a Senior Partner at Solyco Capital, a vertically integrated investment firm that delivers capital solutions for late-stage startup and growth companies. The firm takes a private equity approach to venture capital. With a proven track record of driving growth and scaling businesses to successful acquisitions, Chris is part of the Solyco leadership team responsible for capitalization and deal generation.Chris currently serves on the boards of 5 Solyco portcos, ai.io, Bonus, AthleteAgent, Global Gaming League and Alture Funds. As a thought leader, he frequently shares his insights on raising capital and business leadership. He has been a featured presenter at Hamptons Tech Week and EO conferences engaging audiences with actionable advice and real-world success stories. Some of his recent podcast talks include conversations with Ryan Miller on the “Making Billions” podcast, Seth Greene on “The Registered Investment Advisor” podcast, and with Mike “C-Roc” Ciorrocco on the “What Are You Made Of?” Show.Before joining Solyco, Chris served as Chief Growth Officer at Balanced Health Botanicals (CBDistillery), where his leadership culminated in a successful exit in 2021. He also co-founded marketing agency, Parcon LLC, and was a partner at Surf City Still Works, an Orange County distillery, steering its successful merger in 2021.Chris serves on the National Board of Alder and is a founding member and mentor for Alder’s Project Obsidian program that assists with transitions for Tier 1 Operators. He is one of the 51 founders of Forged Eagle Society, a member-only philanthropic organization built out of the Special Forces Club – 113 Rex – in Washington D.C. He is also a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He has served on a variety of non-profit boards including the Orange County Museum of Art and the Irvine Public Schools Foundation. A lifelong athlete, he recently earned a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Chris received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary.
