SKILLS
ABOUT CHRIS MCKENZIE
Board Certified Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapist I hold a doctorate in Physical Therapy, practicing independently for private clients and athletes of all sports inside my facility, McKenzie Sports Physical Therapy in Philadelphia, PA. My focus is sports & orthopedic conditions, specifically at the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee of the injured athlete. I sub-specialize in treating the baseball athlete/pitcher. I know what it feels like to have shoddy rehab, and I stand for quality and results. I am the ONLY double- board certified Sports physical therapist and Orthopedic physical therapist in Philadelphia. Sports Performance Enhancement Specialist I strength train, pre-hab and condition all types of athletes for all types of sports at every level. I have created a 20+ point total body exam for baseball pitchers, which I believe to be necessary before beginning any velocity improvement program. University Educator/Clinician I have co-instructed orthopedic labs in Drexel University\'s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. I also treated sports and orthopedic cases at Drexel University\'s Daskalakis Sports Medicine and Sports Physical Therapy Clinic. Entrepreneurial Spirit In the 6th grade, I sold 4 tiny Nabisco chocolate chip cookies my mom packed me for lunch, for $1.50, so I could buy what I really wanted that day, a tastycake glazed honeybun! My mom acknowledged I had \"the spirit.\" Since then I\'ve developed sports performance products, enjoy real estate investing and in general have a creative mindset! The \'4 Hour Work Week\' by Tim Ferris, and \'Rich Dad Poor Dad\' by Robert Kiyosaki were some of my favorite books early on. Specialties: Physical Therapist-doctorate, Sports Clinical Physical Therapist (SCS), Orthopedic Clinical Physical Therapist (OCS), Advanced Personal Trainer and Sport Performance Enhancer-NASM PES, Drexel University Educator in Philadelphia, PA
