I’m a Human Factors and Competence Systems Specialist with over 15 years of experience improving safety, performance, and compliance in high-risk industrial environments. A Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), I apply scientific thinking and behavioural insight to develop scalable systems that embed human performance at the core of operations.At Yara International, I led the creation and global rollout of Human Factors methodology—training senior leaders, integrating process safety, and designing a gold-standard Competence Management System aligned with UK HSE guidelines. My career accomplishments are as follow:• Developed Global Human Factors awareness material, delivering to all levels within the business and integrating it in to standard company health and safety training including process safety.• Delivered a “gold standard” CMS integrating Human Factors from scratch, as per the HSE Human Factors Roadmap from UK Regulators• Chair a multi-company Human Factors network, engaging with speakers and topics to fulfil the requirements of the group.• Lead the development and implementation of Root Cause Problem Solving and Competence Management software to drive better and more focussed problem solving and incident investigation but also training and assessment of operations staff.• Implemented production monitoring tool, which was recognised as the standard that should be adopted globally.• Implemented best industry practices for tendering and wining £198K of business within first nine months.• Secured a contract of £40K while building strong partnership with an overseas training company.• Developed and implemented results-driven strategies that resulted in achieving 200% growth on personal annual sales target within first six months.
