ABOUT CHRIS MAGENT

As the Chief Operating Officer of The Butz Family of Companies, I oversee the operations and strategic development of three family owned construction firms that provide design-build, general contracting, and construction management services in various markets. Departmental oversight includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety, Financial and Operations.I have led the successful delivery of multiple complex and challenging projects, ranging from healthcare facilities and educational institutions to commercial buildings and sports arenas. In addition to operations, I am leading the smooth strategic transfer from one generation of ownership to the next while maintaining our culture by design.My core competencies include division management, business development, branding, project management, contract negotiations, purchasing, and estimating. I hold a PhD in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University, where I also obtained my BAE degree. I am passionate about applying my technical knowledge and skills to create innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our clients and stakeholders. My mission is to always strive to improve our people, the quality, efficiency, and safety of our services, while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and integrity within our organization.
