ABOUT CHRIS LESAR

As a vascular-endovascular surgeon, my professional interest is defining and utilizing new, advanced, minimally- invasive techniques for the treatment of cerebral vascular, mesenteric, renal, venous, and peripheral vascular diseases. I have a special interest in caring for patients with critical limb ischemia, with the ultimate goal of preventing unnecessary amputations. The Vascular Institute of Chattanooga, my personal practice, is a comprehensive medical home for the efficient diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of the vascular patient. We deliver vascular care via a team-based approach, while offering disease-specific programs focusing on the rapid diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of vascular patients, with an eye towards future prevention of vascular disease. Our goal is to continue to develop stronger collaborative clinical networks within this region, for cost-effective treatment and efficient care of the vascular patient. At VIC, our core focus is to narrow the gap between the rapidly evolving contemporary science and the modern-day practice of vascular care. By utilizing the latest knowledge, cutting edge treatments and procedures in an environment of robust patient education, we aim to change the delivery of vascular care in this region. My hope is that our process leads to an educated vascular patient who is returned to a normal routine quickly, and one that can actively engage in their own medical health for the benefit of both mind and body.
